One or a few sessions should be enough to master some techniques and integrate your practice into daily life.
I am acquainted with various therapy modalities and use both cognitive and body-oriented methods for self-regulation training.
My name is Elena Petrushina. I am a specialist in relaxation and self-regulation methods, educational psychologist and freediving instructor experienced in working with people with aquaphobia; my master's was in teaching physics.
I have been actively studying, practising and teaching relaxation and self-regulation methods for over 10 years.

How Does a Session Go?
A session lasts an hour or a little longer. First, I hear your requests, and we discuss them. People who have follow-up sessions usually have questions, and then the beginning of the session is dedicated to them.
I provide the necessary information on psychophysiology so that you understand the nature of your states and the essence of methods that I offer for self-regulation and reaching a state of peace or focus.
We select techniques that suit you, and I teach you how to use them. Usually during a session, we manage to master one complex restorative technique and a couple more simple methods that can quickly help to change the state of the nervous system.

What is meant by self-regulation?
Most often, clients are interested in techniques to reduce stress or tension but not only those. But there are self-regulation methods that induce a state of alertness and readiness.
Often people complain of feeling numb and dispassionate; such a state of the nervous system can also be changed through bodily practices.
In other words, we can train the skills that allow us to reach desired levels of arousal and relaxation.
Vagal Nerve Stimulation
It is best to get acquainted with the transcutaneous vagal nerve stimulation in a face-to-face session. During the session, I explain the necessary theory and help you try the procedure. I give the information on buying your own equipment for the procedure in different countries.
In the case of online meetings, the session will have to be divided into two meetings. In the first online meeting, I will provide information about the procedure and instructions for purchasing equipment. I will help you try the procedure using your equipment in the second meeting.
Vagal nerve stimulation is a powerful self-regulation method that reduces inflammation. It is used for stress relief and, as a part of a comprehensive treatment, for many physical and mental health conditions.
